Overcoming Fear

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
-1st John 4:18
"Who among us can say that he or she has not felt fear? I know of no one who has been entirely spared.... We suffer from the fear of ridicule, the fear of failure, the fear of loneliness, the fear of ignorance. Some fear the present, some the future. Some carry the burden of sin and would give almost anything to unshackle themselves from those burdens but fear to change their lives. Let us recognize that fear comes not of God, but rather that this gnawing, destructive element comes from the adversary of truth and righteousness. Fear is the antithesis of faith. It is corrosive in its effects, even deadly"
-Gordon B. Hinkley
I love the part that says that we should not fear the future, past or present, i love the quote...
"Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
And Today is a gift,
Which is why they call it the present"
We have all the ability to make our lives great, others can help, but in the end it's up to us. We have to make our own future, and present, and the past is the past. We learn from it, and use ti to better our future.
